Becoming a Nipper is a great way of developing your child's confidence in the surf. Kids participating in Nippers are encouraged to have 'safe' fun on the beach and to develop friendships with each other. Marcoola SLSC is a small family oriented club, and the Nippers group emphasise developing these characteristics. While we encourage our Nippers to compete in Carnivals, there is no pressure on them to do so, however the club provides support to those who do wish to compete. If they are serious competitors, the club has additional training sessions programmed throughout the season.

Our training days run from 7.50am until 10.30am every Sunday morning unless conditions prevent us from doing so. Marcoola is an open beach and sometimes subject to unstable conditions. When conditions prevent water access training may be cancelled.

At Marcoola Nippers we try to keep the atmosphere relaxed but safe for our kids. Regular Barbeques are held on Sundays after training. There is also an annual Christmas party, held prior to the holiday break. The season culminates with an Award & Trophy Day. Membership of the Marcoola SLSC Supporters Club is included in your Nippers family membership payment.
